Ramlal Bagadia School

Shri Ramlal Bagadia Charitable Trust started the Ramlal Bagadia primary school at Sagrampura, Surat, in the state of Gujarat. The main purpose of the school is to give children quality education and to maximize their potential and support each child to enhance growth and improve their standard of living. Thousands of Children have benefitted through this and many more are and shall be benefitted.

Distribution of cycles

RJBCT has been instrumental in providing cycles to the students in the Rural areas. These students have to walk 3-7 kms from different villages every day to reach their schools. It serves as a 2 in 1 purpose. The students can use the cycles in the mornings and afternoons to commute to and fro from schools. The same cycle can then be used by the adults in their households for selling their produce in nearby villages thus saving them time and energy of walking with heavy weights.

Set up of Computer Labs

RBT has been instrumental in setting up computer centres in various under privileged schools more so at the Adivasi and tribal areas with the sole purpose of supporting and educating the under privileged children in the field of computer and technology. These children rarely get these facilities and are totally unaware of technology and computers.

Classroom set up

Schools in rural areas are still largely unprepared. Classrooms are most uninviting, with leaking roofs, uneven floors and cold or rugged floors to sit on. Children (specially the girl child) are sitting in an unhealthy squat for hours. It is one of RBT initiatives to provide a respectful conducive environment for education. With the same intention in mind RBT have provided Chairs, Tables, Fans, Blackboard in few schools in the Rural / Adivasi / Tribal areas.

Distribution of Notebooks

Every year RBT trust distributes 1000’s of note books amongst the students of the under privileged schools and specially in the Tribal / Adivasi / Rural areas where the help needed does not reach.

Toilet Blocks for girls & children

RBT very early realised the harm of open defecation and the unhygienic conditions of not having a toilet. We have been instrumental in providing / renovating toilet blocks in schools and colleges and specially for the Girl Child.

Meals in rural Schools

With the view of improving nutritional levels of children, RBT provides food / meals / fruit / biscuits to children in various schools in the rural as well as urban areas.

Toy Library for childrens

Without toys and books isn’t there something incomplete in a childhood. RBT regularly sends toys and books to rural areas alongwith the help of family and friend who do not need those toys / books any more. Instead of throwing them away, we pack them into cartons and send it across to the under privileged schools.

Skill workshops

We believe in empowerment. RBT alongwith their social helpers and institutes aid in learning - Plumbing, Tailoring, Carpentry etc. Vocational training centres help and skill the labour to find themselves better employment opportunities.

Orphanage

RBT periodically distributes books / toys / utensils / food / etc at various orphanges in urban and rural areas.

Scholarships

RBT regularly supports education of the under privileged students at different levels, be it - kindergarden, Pre primary, Primary, Secondary, Higher secondary and post graduates.
